Counselling Therapy

PgDip Counselling & Psychotherapy

I am trained in the Person-Centred approach and I also hold a special

interest in the nature of the relationship and the psychoanalytical model of

attachment theory.

The Person-Centred approach is a form of therapy which is client led. I

work with whatever you wish to bring, simply providing a safe space in

which to help you explore the issues you feel are relevant to you. I

am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling

and Psychotherapy (MBACP). This means I work to an Ethical

Framework which sets standards for working with my clients. I am also

required to attend regular supervision, and keep myself up-to-date

via ongoing training.

At the moment I am able to offer face to face sessions at my base in Ulverston which is accessible from areas such as:

  • Ulverston and surrounding areas in the South Lakes area.
  • Barrow in Furness and small villages in the Furness area.
  • Dalton in Furness
  • Millom

If people are unable to travel to my office or are further afield, I offer Counselling therapy via Skype.

I can help you work with the following issues:

  • Confidence issues
  • Self-esteem
  • Eating disorders
  • Addiction
  • Childhood abuse
  • Rape
  • Anger
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Chronic Fatigue
